Best place to buy hamster?

Question

where is the best place to buy a russian dwarf hamster?

also, what kind of bedding, food, and litter are the best brands?

there are just so many i need help choosing.

by the way, i live in mississauga, ontario.

Try to find a local store and dont buy from a Lagre place like pet smart.

in a small they stay with the mom and learn stuff so there not really dumb and in a small store it wont be traumatized and it will be a much nicer animal.

Go find a local breeder. If that fails go to a pet shop like; pet co or petsmart. Hope this helps.

Buy aspen fresh bedding not pie or cedar. Food buy mixes and fruits and veggies. MAke sure you have a stable cage and toys. Buy the habitrail OVO!

A breeder is the best for a hamster because the hamsters at pet stores have been literally thrown about, some may bite, the people can get the sexes wrong and some can already be pregnant!

Otherwise petsmart is the best place for hamsters and supplies if you can't find a breeder.

any pet stores, they have alot of those hamsters. You should use something called "fluff stuff" or whatevz my hamster loves it for bedding, its really soft and warm.

i got mine at petsmart (or petco is good too!).

she lived for 5 years!

(and they usually onyl live for 2!)

go on petsmart or petco.com and search for items, and bedding and whatever you need! that would help you a bunch!

or call petco/petsmart and ask!

I bought mine in petsmart and he is fne.

The best bedding is. Aspen or carefresh. Almost every thing else causes respitory infections that will shorten the life dramatically.

Hamsters dont use litter they go were ever.

I use Living world products and ive been happy so far.

I Just bought some food that i got at petsmart.

Umm for a cage if you dont have one. If you want to buy one i suggest.

Habitrail Safari- its big and gets lots of air plus you can expand it with add ons.

If you want to make your own Research Bin Cages.
