Best place to do a ski season in Canada?

we are boarders who want - awesome powder, great boardpark, semi-lively nightlife, atmosphere. We have been thinking of Banff. Is Whistler as good as it is made out to be?? We are 26, a couple and want to have the best time ever.

Whistler or Banff: you can't make a bad choice!  Personally I don't like the standardized Intrawest "village" that Whistler has but the mountains are spectacular.  Banff is close to Sunshine Village and Lake Louise for some great variety - although Banff is a drive from both resorts.  My personal favorite is Sunshine.  Sunshine has terrain parks, but the entire mountain is a park.  Hook up with some people who ride there to find jibs and jumps in the trees, introductory cliff drops, and some sick lines on steep terrain.  

Either way you will have the best time ever!

If travelled around a bit, but my favorite place is still Sunshine Village in banff and i love whistler blackomb too

Whistler/ Blackcomb  the biggest and probably the most diverse of the areas in North America.  The snow will range from coastal concrete to light powder all in the same day at different elevation. A mile of vertical and  runs that are several miles long and some great park riding and nightlife every night.
