I agree with some of the other suggestions...Portillo's, Ed Debevic's or Dave & Buster's are all appropriate for a 6 year old boy.

It is not the place but the choice you make for him. If he is a good eater go any where but make a choice based on his normal preferences. If not bring along something you know he will enjoy. Or feed him before hand in the car (if he craves Peanut Butter Tuna or a Ham Sandwich) let him enjoy a Desert of his choice while you eat what you want!

Ed Devebics but it's very touristy. There aren't a lot of places other than McDonalds, etc. that are really kid-friendly. Maybe Dave and Buster's during the day.
