Best place to eat in Chicago ?

I'm going there on vacation in about 2 weeks,

what are some of the best Restaurants ?

Gino's East for pizza, Hard Rock cafe (not for the food, but for the atmosphere), Heaven on Seven for Cajun, Portillo's or Wiener's Circle for Hot Dogs, Bar Louie for munchy foods and martinis

I would definitely make a stop at the Billy Goat Tavern.

A lot of people know it from Saturday Night Live as the "Cheezborger, cheezborger, cheezborger, no Pepsi... Coke!" sketch with Jim Belushi, Dan Aykroyd, Bill Murray, and Lorraine Newman.

But in all truth an honesty -- it is one of the best places to eat in Chicago. It has such a fun atmosphere, and the food is great!

Plus, there are TONS of locations in Chicago. But I recommend the original on Michigan Ave.

if price isnt a problem, go with Lowry's or Jean and Georgettie's (i think i spelled that wrong). They're both AMAZING

alot of people think chicago has the best deep dish pizza i strongly disagree you wanna get a vienna beef hot dog if your in chicago. The best place to go is portillos.

OMG.  I cannot go to Chicago without eating TWO hot dogs from Portillos.  They are classic.  It's a chain that's around the city, so you should be able to find one with no problems.

Have a great time.  And order one with extra pickles for me.

Hackney's Irish Pub

it was voted one of the top 5 burger's in Chicago

It has a nice atomosphere (believe me the burgers are great)

and evrything is handmade!

There's a lot of places. Some classic Chicago places would be Billy Goat Tavern and Superdawg. But if price is not an issue, go with Fogo De Chao. Excellent food in the heart of Chicago.

Gonzalez Mexican Grill.. I am pretty sure the address is 5900 w. 63rd... but thats in the south side of chicago. If your going to be in the downtown area almost any pizza joint is good. The city is so big! I guess it would depend on what side of town  your going to be at! I just wanted to mention my favorite south side place! Go Sox!!! :P
