Best place to eat in northampton?

im going out for dinner and need advice - please no maccydeeees/burgerking etc

Well if you fancy a REAL burger, you could try the original "Buddies" restaurant in Dychurch Lane (IIRC . . .off Fish Street) right in the centre of town. They have a number of "diners" now around Northants, but the original is still the best. Best Burger I've had outside of North America, and good grills, chicken, ribs etc. etc. too.

Of course if American food is not your thing, then there are a few other decent places in the area, but Buddies tends to be the place of choice for me and my friends. I've dropped a link to the BBC H2G2 page for the place in the source.
