Most of Australia has just come out of a 6 year drought NSW and QLD suffered drought 1991-1995.  So anywhere would be a gamble.  Depends on what sort of farming.  Maybe Tasmania or Victoria.  Also farmers that have alternate crops do better.  Don't jump into it without doing loads of research first.  Sounds romantic but a HUGE amount or work.

I'm not sure what sort of farming you want to know about. Many farmers in Australia struggle and have been forced off the land. Our cattle stations are huge because of drought situations. I think if I was looking to buy a farm I would be looking at New Zealand or Tasmania or places in the hills where they get more rain.
