Best place to get eye glasses?

What's the best place to get eye glasses?

I'll need an eye exam as well. I've been going to Lenscrafters and have been pleased, but they were on the expensive side.

I've also looked at Empire Vision Center and Sterling Optical - anyone recommend them?

Do you have a "for eyes" where you live?  They often run good specials.  If you don't have insurance thats probably a good place to check out.  Foreyes.com for locations..
