Anyone would suggest me a list best place to go in France for honeymoon?

That will be great if able to list down all the places, days to stay, and estimated budget in that particular places.

Places i'm looking for are romantic, historical, beaches and etc; but not high priority in clubbing/pub/nightlife.

Other than that, what type of transportation is best used in France?

  1. Good places to go are as follows:

The French Riviera (Cote D'azur) - On the Southeastern coast of France and bordering the warm Mediterranean, the French Riviera is a gigantic tourist attraction. There are beaches, resorts, hotels, and lots of activities and events all throughout the year. There are also the Alps, if the beach gets boring.

St. Tropez and Cannes - Beautiful beaches also.

The above locations can be quite costly.

A less expensive place would be Nice, and the others listed below:

Normandy - On the northern part of France, there are also many beautiful beaches here. Note: beaches on the north and west of France tend to be a little more secluded, the water is not as warm as that of the French Riviera (because it is the Atlantic Ocean).

Brittany and Corsica all have magnificent beaches as well.

And romantically speaking, there is always the world-famous Paris. There are so many sights in Paris that are historical, so many beautifully romantic places, it's no wonder Paris is such a tourist attraction. If you go to France without going to Paris, it's like going to the theaters, watching only the theatrical trailers and then leaving without seeing the actual movie.

I am not completely sure about prices, but they should not be hard to find. :)

  2. Paris is beautiful, can be romantic, is designed for people without cars, which are hard and expensive to park.

Loire Valley, where the chateau are, is lots less expensive that the Riviera--less crime-ridden, too.  Take the train there from Paris and rent a car or take a bus tour.

The beaches are not always very clean either on the Med.  If you need beaches, the Atlantic ones, while cooler, should be cleaner, cheaper and safer.

Generally, French people are nicer the fewer tourists they see and the less outrageously rich those tourists are.  (Proabaly true of all people) When we went to Nimes to see a Roman amphitheatre that was still in use for community events, people were amazed that tourists would come to their town.  France has a number of Roman buildings and ruins that are historic, but tend not to be in crowded, expensive places.

  3. You should stay in Paris in a real jewel, Hotel Particulier Montmartre which will open on 21st of june this year. There are 5 suites in an arictorcatic mansion, two steps away from Sacre Coeur and vibrant Montmartre. They make special rates for the opening, the rooms are very big, the decor so romantic. And there is a garden where you can take breakfast and feel as if you are in Paradise. The perfect place for honeymoon. You can also have a look on hoosta to find other unforgettable hotels in Paris.

  4. Forget Paris, Its a dive and nowhere near as good as London. If its beaches you want try St Tropez area. Look on Owners direct.com for the cote d'azur then on 1 bedroom properties and you will find a beautiful medieval town house in Grimaud for about 500 euros. It is really romantic and very well placed for beaches and towns without being over run by traffic etc. Then after a week drive up through Gap and Grenoble to Annecy in the French alps for a stunning vista, beautiful lake and great food in the old town. I have stayed at the house in Grimaud and taken this route to annecy and had the best holiday ever. Car hire is essential in France because there is just so much to see and do. One last thing, if you do go to the south of France take a look at the Canyons of Verdon, Europe's version of the grand canyon but with beautiful villages perched on the edge of cliffs and lakes and gorges to canoe or swim up. Research it on the web, you wont be disappointed

  5. In France, they use the Metro to get around. Go to Paris. See the Effiel Tower & other things in Paris.  Most of all, have fun & enjoy your honey moon. Check out these sites:
