Best place to go: Italy - Honeymoon?

Anyone would suggest me a list best place to go in Italy for honeymoon?

That will be great if able to list down all the places, days to stay, and estimated budget in that particular places.

Places i'm looking for are romantic, historical, beaches and etc; but not high priority in clubbing/pub/nightlife.

Other than that, what type of transportation is best used in Italy?

  1. Unless you want to visit your HERITAGE, don't go. Dirty, Old, and Over Rated.

Hawaii!!!!! Clean, Fresh, Expensive and Sensual. Trust me.

  2. I'm italian and I can suggest you some cities...

I read that some people answered you to go to Milan.

Milan isn't romantic at all! not beaches-a little history...

    Naples is too dirty !

    The best places are:

Lago di Como or/and Lago Maggiore near Milan

    Venice (romantic,historical,with beaches...)

    Liguria (cinque terre, seaside resorts)

    Costiera Amalfitana

    Sardinia (costa smeralda)

Sicily (in Agrigento you can find historical places like greek temples , the cost is beautiful everywhere)

But the best city is Rome...visiting Rome makes you speechless. Simply Wonderful, nothing else.

  3. Capri and the Amalfi Coast! It's beautiful, romantic, historical, there are beaches and incredible views.

I'd recommend at least a week with stays on Capri Island, Postiano and Ravello. The are is not necessarily inexpensive but cost also depends on what season you go.

I've planned a lot of honeymoons on the Amalfi Coast, if you'd like more help get in contact with me.

  4. can't miss Rome,Venice,Florence and Portofino...

if wanna see something different you can go to Verona (place of Romeo and Juliet!!) and see the balcony of Juliet...really romantic! http://www.cookaround.com/cop/albums/use...

  5. I would suggest between Lake Como and Cinque Terra's. If you are going to be up north, it may not be a bad idea to check out southern switzerland, like Lake Lugano. Even though it has a great rep. for a romantic place, I'd say stay away from Venice. If you go there, just go for a day trip. Rome would also be adviseable and it's not far from the beach.

  6. Lake Como in Milan.

  7. Go to Sicily.........the sea is fantastic and is full of ancient history................it is a lot cheaper than the rest of Italy.

The Sicilians love to walk in the evenings............and what better that a lovely romantic walk in the moonlight.

I'm sure that if you look up Sicily on the internet by the pictures you see you will be convinced

  8. I would suggest Florence or Milan. These places are romantic and historical. And I think taking a bus in new places is always fun.

  9. ♦Rome

    ♦Florence

    ♦Venice

    ♦Naples

    ♦Sicily

    ♦Milan

    ♦Isle of Capri

  10. Hello.. When will be you honeymoon?

If it will be this summer, Why don't come in Abruzzo???

Tortoreto Lido is very nice place.. romantic, historical..

If Italy is the garden of Europe, so is Tortoreto until today the happy island of the country. In Tortoreto you can enjoy since the early morning hours of therapeutically atmospere for your body and soul.

My favourite hotel is <<Hotel River>>, where

is like being in one great family and all the is ifantastic above all food!!! it watches the situated one: www.rivertortoreto.com

  11. depends on what you are looking for...my suggestions would be

    Milan #1

    Venice

    Verona

    Rome- of course

    Florence

    Naples-very beautiful

and if you are up for going somewhere near Italy, Sardinia is beautiful

best type of transportation depends on which city you chose, the public system is big, if they are not on strike at the time, other than that i do not recommend renting a car..do not attempt to drive.  the roads are not like in america. and the drivers either.  just dont drive.
