  2. Hello -

The correct answer depends on where you're flying from.

Here are some useful tips. The best search engine I've found is www.kayak.co.uk or www.kayak.com. Either of these links returns accurate results.

From this website you can put any start airport and any destination airport. You can select +/- 3 days and put to arrive/depart from nearby airports.

It will trawl (very quickly) through thousands of possibilities to bring you the cheapest airfares.

Depending on the time of year you're looking to go will determine how cheap your flights are. If you're looking to go now then it will be very expensive for the next 6 weeks, at around GBP £1200.

Air New Zealand has offers between 1 September and 30 November 2008 if you book by 30 June.

British Airways is hugely expensive whatever time of year you go.

Also, try www.klm.com (dutch airline). If you're prepared to take a flight from London to Amsterdam first, then onwards onto NZ, they are reasonably priced.

This is, I believe, the cheapest airline. http://www.bruneiair.com go from Heathrow. Look out for "best fares" option whilst booking, leaving your departures open for flexibility can reduce an airfare down to £700-£750.

Here's a trick: If you use an Australian search engine such as http://www.zuji.com.au, and on the drop-down list of "Departure Airport" select London to arrive in Auckland, then by booking through an Australian agent you are paying Australian taxes which are cheaper that GB fees. This could save around £50.

Take a look at all the links for Air New Zealand, Brunei Air, KLM and Zuji.com.au. When you're done, try www.kayak.com for alternatives via USA.

It'll take you some time to find best routes/departure/airline combination, but you could save hundreds on each ticket, and if you're buying many tickets it'll be well worth it in the end.

    Happy holiday ~~

  3. Jetstar have had some cheap flights from Melbourne lately. Only $99. It has gone up to $240ish now, but keep an eye open you can find cheap flights through Jetstar.

  4. I second Jetstar, I flew to New Zealand for only $99 - couldn't believe how great the service was considering the amazing price. Will definitely fly with them again.

  5. Cheap flight  Search:  http://www.jobs2me.net/flightnz.htm

Trust me, I've been through most of the 'well-known' sites... The other sites...not a peep. Good Luck

  6. Hi

this is quite a good site to start your search.

    http://www.travelsupermarket.com/c/cheap...

    good luck.

  7. go to your nearest independent Travel Agent, they will search all the different airlines for you.  The price will vary depending on what route you take, whether you are wanting stopovers in Honk Kong/Singapore Australia or Los Angeles.  The earlier you can book the flight usually the cheaper seats are available.  Don't want to be a pessimist but fuel surcharges have just gone up last week on all flights so get your Travel Agent to look up the cheapest option for you.  Watch out for the time differences when you loose days if you do it on line.
