  1. Search, American Canoe Association.


  2. Find the local kayak clubs.  Start with americanwhitewater.org, from there you should be able to find local clubs and rivers.  Find a local pool where other kayakers learn and practice their rolls.  

    Many clubs have beginner trips.  Other clubs have weekend classes that you can take for (almost nothing).
