  1. vail

  2. LAKE TAHOE!!! a few factors to consider.

    A. length of season. Unless you are going to Mt Hood or Whistler CO season is shorter that Tahoe. Tahoe resorts will stay open till June unless its a bad snow year.

    B. Location. While CO is nice, all you have is Denver and its a drive to get there sometimes. Lake Tahoe Has Reno, which means Casinos oh and South Lake Tahoe wich means s**y Casinos. And CO is landlocked from Tahoe its 3 hours to the ocean.

    C. can you say Squaw Valley, Alpine Meadows, Northstar at Tahoe, Boreal, Sugar Bowl, Homewood, on the North shore and all with 20 minutes of each other. Eventhough CO has a lot to offer none of the resorts are that close.

    D. LAKE TAHOE, in places like CO the summer time tourism season dries up and you will more than likely be out of a job, Tahoe however keeps going and gets even better.

    E. It doesn't get as cold in Tahoe as it does in CO

    F. WE GET BIGGER BETTER DUMPS! wet snow is good snow, it bonds to the rocks and makes for way more fun.

    G. while CO has the Vertical drop they have nothing on Tahoe Steeps

I hate to pick on CO but I spent my time there and since moving to Tahoe I would rather be no other place in the winter.

  3. Well I have no idea about Mammoth but as far as snowboarding places go, I'de say Montana.

  4. I live in Kelowna, BC and we have a mountain right near us that almost everyone goes up to every weekend. It's called Big White and from what I hear it's pretty good (I just moved here myself), apparently on Friday's there is some sort of discount.

  5. honest? you want to move somewhere in switzerland, best of all, zurich.

first of all, zurich on it's own is an awesome city. shopping, culture, nightlife, whatever the h**l you want. it's amazing, and absolutley everybody finds something they like in zurich. also, there's a big english community there, so... yeah. not too many problems with things like language.

then, the more important part: snowboarding.

the thing that sucks about the US is that it's so big, and when you live in one place, you've got access to, i don't know, maybe 50 at the most? mountains to go to for day-trips or weekend trips. In switzerland, it's more like 5000. and if you live in zurich, you'll be able to access all of those in under 2 hours of driving. You'll not only be able to shred in switzerland, but in austria and france too.

my favorite swiss mountians are flims laax falera (the european burton open is held here each year. plus, it's nicolas muller's home mountain, as well as mine! they have an AWESOME park, as well as a huuuge choice of the best slopes. EVER.)

then there's hasliberg, which is more sort of a family place but also has a great snowpark, and lots of slope choice

also, there always seem to be way to many rules in the US, whenever i shred there, it's like, aagh, am i gonna go to jail if i get on the t-bar wrong? here it's so relaxed, like, do whatever the h**l you want, just have fun.

  6. I live in Colorado and i can honestly say that CO is the place to live and snowboard/ski all you want.

  7. hands dwon whistler bc its got a great town and the mountain is amazing

  8. You might consider moving to Vancouver, BC Canada. Here there are 3 local mountains that are only 30 mins from downtown. One of them Grouse Mountain is accessible from public transportation. It drops you off at the base of the mountain. Vancouver is a great place to live. Everything is close by and accessible. Here's a website that you might want to check out. http://www.gvrd.com/skiing/index.html

    Good luck with your move.

  9. You might consider moving to Whistler, BC Canada. The 2010 winter Olympics will be hosted here. Been living here since i was born. We just love it here. BC is considered the best place on earth. Trust me it is..... :)

  10. i want to move to lake tahoe or mammoth after i graduate high school im not sure yet which one but im thinking tahoe because i love it so much

    summer and winter are fantastic

so you should move to lake tahoe!
