Where in Australia is a good place to live?

I dont really want to live in the big cities, I like a relaxed lifestyle with minimum stress, I want to live in a place where there are alot of white English speakers, im not racist at all but, I dont want to live in an area with alot of chinese and indian influence, I have heard this is a problem there. Im an American and I would just rather live in a place with other people of my race, its not racist though. So can someone help me? Thanks.

  1. Gosh... and Australia is having such a drought problem right now!

Your best bet is to search for a small outer community of a larger city.  I do not know what kind of area you are looking for, since most of Australia is arid.

Perth in Western Australia is sort of like Los Angeles but only a tenth as large.  There could be some rural communities in the outskirts that may interest you.

I don't know.  There are pictures on the web of many of the areas of Australia, and I do not know which of them would interest you.  Also, I do not know your financial condition now or if you move there.  Economics plays the major part in a move to another area!!!!!

  2. Hilarious!

What if the Chinese / Indians turn out to be as much (or more) Aussie as the Aussies who look like your photo? Is it the Chinese / Indian appearance or the "influence"(as you call it) that really bothers you?

According to the 2006 national census 94%+ of the population is considered white. The largest ethnic minority, Chinese is around 500,000 of nearly 21 million total.

The Census didn't provide any clear info on how many bigots or where they lived. You'll just have to ask around when you get here. They might not want an American near them, being bigoted and all!

    As I said, "hilarious"!

  3. Well I don't know about the best places to live, but here's a tip: Don't say, "I have heard this is a PROBLEM there". The word "problem" implys that you think the Asian immigrants are more of a strain than a headway. The word, "issue" is not exactly decent either.

  4. Who has been telling you there is a "problem" with Chinese and Indian influence here?

Who ever it is, has no idea what they're talking about.

Try looking at Australian provincial cities such as:

    Geelong, Victoria

    Longreach, Queensland

    Dubbo, New South Wales

    Broome, Western Australia

    Whyalla, South Australia

    Queenstown, Tasmania

    Alice Springs, Northern Territory.

They'd be just the sort of place you're looking for.

  5. do you qualify to live in Australia?

  6. I know what you are saying, Your best bet would be South East Queenland country towns like Toowoomba and towns like Bundaberg, Harvey bay Gladstone and Mackay their or many other towns not mentioned but Queensland country would be your best bet.

  7. There are minority groups in every community. I'd suggest Cairns as you look like an old f**t and old farts enjoy that area.

  8. I know where you are coming from,  most asians & indians live in the cities and particular suburbs  so anywhere  else you should be ok

  9. First you need to evaluate what type of work you are looking for, or are you reiting. Transport is a big issue always. Melbourne public transport is great and the city is not that hectic. Also the outskirts of Sydney's west is primiarly young OZ couples, but prices are astronomical. I have also heard that Qld's out skirts are becoming more popular because the area is being built up - first you should

    a) evaluate what work industry you want to get in

    b) evaluate what type of money you are willing to spend

    c) are you comforabtle with transport or will you have a car

    d) what type of shops/business's do you want in your area

Once you figure all that out you should speak to a Real Estate agent to see what they say!

  10. Just a warning, what you have written could bring you trouble through our "Religious and racial discrimination" laws, so don't even mention it if you want to come here.

You will also have to pass strict Immigration guidelines for migration, don't think you can just come here on a visitors Visa and stay, you will be rejected at the Airport.
