try hotel maxim. i'm not sure about th prices, but ask for a room with a view of the street (it's fabulous at night) and you have free breakfast and internet service. It's in a great location with amazing places to eat close by.

When we went to Italy we stayed at the Hotel Ester right around the corner from the main train station. It was reasonable at $60 euros, was very clean and the staff was friendly. I would stay there again.
