Best place to take my 1 yr old on holiday?

Me and my partner want to take our daughter on holiday in England. We would like to stay in a caravan on a resort so that there's lots for us to do but they're all so expensive. Can anyone tell us where there is a good place to go without breaking the bank?

Weymouth is the best place for children. It is so safe as the beach is in a bay, and children & adults can walk out miles and it still coming up to your knees. There is also lots of attractions sea life centre etc and lots of family hotels and holiday park

1 in particular is waterside holiday park!

we went to haven at grange-over-sands but its not up to much, we went camping which was bril but the complex itself was to be desired, we have been to other haven sites and they have been brilliant too, we have a 2 year old and a 3 month old and they behaved impecably (sp) a well enjoyed and cheap holiday :)

wales is brilliant for camping also martinmere near blackpool, but if you go you want a site with facilities
