Best place to view the Northern Lights? Alaska?

I am taking a trip to Alaska next year, and I want to know on where is the best viewing point of those?

  1. The farther north, the better, but only if it gets dark!!  Mid-summer in Alaska, that doesn't happen!

    At other times, Alaska is a great place to see them, and it is truly spectacular!  Wish I could have seen that.

    this video shows were the northern lights hit and as you can tell it hit alaska canda russia and anartica and lil bit of other places so maybe?? is wrong saying that they dont hit alaska good they do hit alaska good enjoy

  4. Actually, the best place to see the Northern Lights is not in the US(Alaska) at all.

    In fact, the BEST place to see them from is a city called Yellowknife in the Northwest Territories of Canada. They have guided tours there, too.
