Zanzri is the best ever I had when I was living in AMDAVAD. Check with someone. It was a great place by the fall.

Other than that, Nal Sarovar is good place, but it is for winter only.

Gandhinagar and utkantheswar are good, but Prantij-Galteswar is better for picnic. if you like water.

2. Science city ( if kids r there)-1/2 day - 5 kms

3. dakore(if interested in religion) & galteshwar-100 kms

4. Utkantheshwar - 40kms

one day - you can visit gandhinagar and come back..theres nothing much to see..but the place is green and beautiful..and theres R world which is like a fun world - you can play games, bowling is there..and there is a 3D ride too...

If you have 2 days, like a weekend, you can go to Udaipur or to Mount Abu...

u can visit gandhinagar about 30km fr. Ahmedabad. Akshardham temple in Ahmedabad is one of the largest temples of Gujarat. Visit to Sabarmati Ashram gives peace. these r the places I've visited. Time just flies off when u r in these 2 places. check this site for more info:
