  1. Hello,

Tuscany in general is a wonderful place to see.  With towns like San Gimignano, Siena, Lucca, Pisa and Livorno you will have a lot of choices.  With the exception of Pisa, most of these towns aren't as well known and don't get quite so many tourists.  At that time of year you will find these towns decorated for the holidays and the weather nice and cool.  You can also rent a car to drive around this area.  The traffic isn't crazy like in Rome or Naples and it offers you a chance to go at your own pace.  My favorite is San Gimignano.  I love the fact that it is a walled city on top of a hill.  The streets are old and the atmosphere is incredible.

  2. Go to Palermo and work your way down the coast to Agrigento. Palermo is a wonderful city full of history, wide avenues and and a fun atmosphere. Don't let the mafia stories scare you... that kind of stuff happens in neighborhoods you'd never visit. The coast down to Marsala is beautiful. Marsala is famous for its wines, salt pools and it beauty. Agrigento and it's Valley of Temples is 100xs better than Athens (and the food is better too!). Try Sicily, the California of the Mediterranean, on your next visit ti Italy.

  3. I advise you Pisa with its leaning tower. Tuscany in general has a lot of beautiful places and small villages to see like Siena, Arezzo, San Gimignano, Volterra but pay attention at the weather. At times it snows.

  4. I take it you've been to Pisa. Ditto on the other Tuscan towns. Siena's got a lot of history, Lucca is very charming and has an interesting story as well, and Fiesole I think is very underappreciated.

My favorite favorite favorite place though is Bologna! I think it just has the coolest vibe. Bologna is a college city so there are a lot of young people. I would compare Bologna to Milian, only because they're both cities and not "beautiful" like the small Tuscan towns but Bologna is way cooler than Milian. Definitely check Bologna out!

  5. Yoou should go to the "Pisane hills"(colline pisane). There is a very beautiful landscape!

    Bye!

  6. I would defiantly go to the south. Most people visit up north. But there is truly amazing history, people, and culture in the south . It is an entirely different place.

  7. During that time of year, I would go to the South.
