I'm going to Ireland for my high school graduation. I'm going to be getting British/Ireland Train pass and so I'll be able to see and travel to places in Ireland. I'm going to be there for about a Month. What are the best places to go to. A.K.A Best Views, towns, historical places, pubs (Yes I'm gonna go to a pub.) I'm gonna be there for a while so I can see al ot of stuff.

  1. dublin of course, galway is nice, i love athlone...check out a bog they are pretty cool, castles.

  2. dublin is my fav international city- i love it...and just like people say, it is very green and architecturally colorful...went in april (several years ago) and it was chilly, so bring a jacket regardless when you are there...ireland offers a lot of bed & breakfasts that are nice and a steal and in the city, you can ask your hotel staff for recommendations. also, the american embassy is in an area called balls bridge and may be informative- it's a nice area.

st. stephens green (great city park with cool sculptures)

    phoenix park (near the zoo)

cross the ha penny bridge to temple bar

(hip part of town, not a bar itself)

    grafton street (cobblestone walking street)

o'connell is a main street with space to walk and double decker buses

    dublin castle

went to a stud farm  (or ride somewhere- near dublin)

japanese gardens are beautiful (near dublin)

cork is also a cool city and worth checking out...

i was unimpressed with the blarney castle and killarny...

have fun....i look forward to going back someday

  3. You can't see all that many places in Ireland using the train, you'd be better advised getting some kind of bus pass to get around.
