The Southern Interior of BC has the best climate and the most four season recreational opportunities.  God gave Alberta a lot of money buy He didn't give them any lakes or ski hills (outside of Jasper and Banff).  From the Shuswap to the Okanogan, the lifestyle can't be beat.

Ottawa is the best place for family, you can find houses for really good price the only downfall for you is the Snow. if you can get passed that then there is no better place to live. if you like winter then its perfect for you, ottawa has the world's longest skating rink. people from all over the world come here for that. very low crime and its the Capital of the greatest Country on the Planet.
