Best places to snowboard in the northeast US?

I'm going to be in the Groton, CT area for about 6 weeks and I'm curious where i should go to break in a new board (include Canada if that's the case)

Go to warwick, new york

they have an awsome mountain

where if the snow isn't powdery enought for you they will put some down it is amazing.

definitely vermont--the best skiing in the east...the resorts the previous poster mentioned are good and i also love okemo and stowe--stratton in southern vermont is legendary as well and might be the closest coming from CT

try Vermont. good areas include: Stratton, Mount Snow, and then Killington's ok. if you can get up there, snowboard around the Lake Placid area in New York, it's sweet!
