Best places to stay in milan?

this is the first time i am going to visit milan and would like to know few nice, safe hotels to stay over the weekend

Bed and breakfast cost 65 Euros and I believe it is even cheaper on weekends. They have a buffet for breakfast and you can eat and drink as much as you like. The lunch they serve is excellent and much cheaper than in the centre.

The hotel is some 5 km from the town's centre, but public transport is good organised. I'm not into expensive hotels because a hotel room is mostly used for sleeping.
