I just finished up my freshman year in college and im on track to graduate in 3 1/2 years. Because im ahead, I thought that it would be best to take a semester and study abroad and take a light course load. I was wondering which place to choose. I am looking at either Rome, Seville Spain, or London. I do have three years of Spanish but I am very interested in Catholic Art and there is alot of history in Rome which I have read alot about. I am also considering London because I am a Criminal Justice Major and it would be cool to study their system. If anyone has been to these places, let me know. Thanks alot.

  1. What you have basically mentioned are the three most popular places for U.S. students to study abroad - the U.K., Spain, and Italy.  Although I would really generally encourage students to do something a little more challenging, it seems that you have good reasons, at least for Rome and the UK, if you can find programs which can give you what you need.  Talk to your school's Study Abroad office about your options, because not all programs are accepted by every school.

  2. I would also take into consideration the cost of each program - and the cost of living. England is twice as expensive as the U.S., and the Euro is creeping up there.

Spanish and Italian are very similar...

Aw, what the heck, Rome is awesome :o)
