Best places to take Engagement photos in the East SF Bay area?

I live in the Tri Valley area and will be photographing an engagement session soon. Does anyone recommend great places to take pictures in this area?

Make sure you have a photographer who is familiar with the area. Any good professional photographer should know great locations and be able to make recommendations based on your interests and time of day of the photo session.

If you are doing it on your own (no professional involved), I would recommend going to public parks and woods during the time of day you are planning for the photo session. Scouting locations is something we professionals do all the time in our spare time.
