  1. Impatiens, Geraniums, Calibrachoa, Petunias.

  2. Fuchsias, geraniums and busy lizzies will give good bright flowers over an extended period, but as you have 5 pots why not vary them a bit?  You could mix grit or gravel into the compost of one to improve drainage, and plant it up with colourful herbs that you could use in the kitchen too - purple sage, country cream oregano, golden thyme, basil and chives. (don't include mint, it's too invasive and needs a pot to itself).  Top dress with more gravel.   In the Autumn, replace summer bedding with miniature conifers or ornamental cabbages, surrounded by colourful winter pansies or variegated ivy, or again - with 5 pots, mix and match!

  3. As above, fuschias, roses, herbs such as purple sage, marjoram.  Potentilla (there are many varieties).
