I'm with you on the men's side.  David Nalbandian all the way.  On the women's, Jelena Jankovic on clay and Ivanovic everywhere else.

Dementieva is quite good, but her serve is terrible for a player of her level.

For current players, I agree with you about David Nalbandian for the men, and for the women I'd also put in that group Jelena Jankovic and Nadia Petrova.  Along with Ivanovic and Dementieva, these four women are all capable of wining a slam title.

For current players, I'd pick Nalbandian and Dementieva.

David has beaten all the big names in the game and come close at the Slams a few times. His win against Federer in the final of the 2005 Masters Cup was particularly impressive. It would be great to see him finally win a big one.

Dementieva, serve aside, has such a great game. She has fantastic footwork, punishing ground strokes, and a good volley. It's just a shame that her serve is so bad. It hasn't stopped her reaching two Slam finals though.

yeah i agree david nalbandian is the best among those who have yet to win a grandslam...as for the women, its also Ivanovic and Dementieva for me....

Surely Tim Henman has to be a contender. However I think Sebastien Grosjean or  Davedenko are other contenders. I agree with you about Nalbandian, But I still believe he has a chance of winning a grand slam if his form at the end of last year is anything to go by.

As for the women, I am glad Mauresmo ended up with some Grand Slams as it looked a great possibility she would be crowned with best player not to win a Grand Slam, Kim Clijsters too. But I think the best player not to have won a Grand Slam is Chanda Ruben or yes Dementieva. All of the best women players ended up with at least one Grand Slam which makes this part of the question most difficult to answer. Ivanovic has plenty of time to win a Grand Slam-especially now Henin has sadly retired, So I cannot say she is yet the best player not to win a Grand Slam.

in my opinion.. marcelo rios, thomas enqvist, mark philippousis, helena sukova and mary joe fernandez (these two women have doubles slams i think... sukova for sure lol) but if you meant singles then yeah these 5 definitely

Jelena Jankovic and Elena Dementieva. Too bad Elena has a bad serve. Jelena is still kinda young, I still see her having the chance of winning a grandslam, and so is Ana Ivanovic!
