Who do you think is currently the best player in the AFL?

GET OVER ABLETT AND FRANKLIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! they are not the best players in the AFL! yea Franklin might be able to get 5+ goals every round but if it wsnt for all the other players getting the ball down to him then he would be like every other player. and Ablett gets easy goals and just happened to get the most possessions on Friday. i dnt vote those two i vote Dane Swan or Alan Didak.

I would say Ablett but if Judd was in form he would be but as he is not in form, Ablett wins.

We are spoiled, Ablett on Friday Night, Franklin on Saturday Night, Judd on Sunday night.

Right now as it stands and on form they would have to be the 3 best playersin the AFL.

Best Midfielder:    I have to say Ablett (Even though I would   like to say Pendlebury!)

Best Defender:     There's at least five to choose from     (defence is hard to choose since they do a lot of work off the ball, they don't just play possession footy)

I think in terms of general skill and awareness for the game gary ablett is currently the best however my vote goes to franklin because i think a great forward is better than a midfielder. In my opinion forwards of the likes of franklin are hard to come by. He always kicks heaps of goals and at the end of the day its goals that win matches

Gary Ablett is the best player in the competition. Franklin follows soon after, along with Simon Black and Sam Mitchell. Scott Pendlebury is muchly underated, and a roughie for this year's brownlow is Jason Akermanis.

At the moment you cant go past Buddy Franklin, hes all the talk and hes a tough one to stop. Everyone whos on him has an almost impossible task and deserves recognition even if they keep him even remotely out of the game

i totally agree and after his display on friday night his status has just reached legendary..... in my opinion.

buddy is pretty orse as well but ablett is a machine.

wood it be fair to say he is as good as or getting better than juddy?  i think its heading that way.

As much as I hate to admit it, based on his recent form, I have to agree with you about GAJnr. A lot of people might say Franklin or another key forward but they forget that it takes a midfielder to fight for the ball and kick it up to the forward line.

Best Mid-fielder- Gary Ableet Junior but when Juddy recovers fully from his injury then watch out.

come on people under rate adelaide crows, SCOTT THOMPSAN has been averaging 33 possiEz a game and 2 goals a games from the midfield, and what about his star performance on the wknd he got 35 possiEz and 6 goals from the midfield, HE COULD WIN THE BROWNLOW
