  1. pete rose ,who cares what his personal life was like

  2. BB-Bert Blyleven.

  3. Mickey Lolich - Won a ton of games (including 3 in the 1968 World Series) but just not quite HoF material

  4. Derek Lee. I just don't see it happening.

  5. Gagne?  Are you freakin' serious?  Wow...

Bert Blyleven is the most deserving player who isn't in the Hall yet, it's too tough to tell who is currently playing that may or may not make it.

  6. Ron Santo and Bert Blyleven

  7. eric gagne

  8. Jim Rice

Last year to vote him in!!!!

  9. Bert Blylevyn is the poster boy for this.

  10. There are a number of players who are eligible that are not in yet, but they will get in at some point.

I think you're talking about guys who were/are great who will never get in.

Guys like Gary Sheffield, who won't make it past the first ballot, despite the fact he'll probably have over 500 home runs. And it's not just the steroid thing. When he admitted he didn't play hard in Milwaukee so they'd trade him, a lot of writers publically stated they would never vote for him for the HOF after that, and rightly so.

The steroid guys won't get in, and that includes Bonds. People say he was great before he juiced, but Joe Jackson was great before he cheated and he ain't ever going to be in either. Once you cheat, it nullifies everything you ever did. So no McGwire, Palmeiro, Sosa, Clemens or Bonds.

And another thing people forget when they mention Blyleven (who I think belongs): Tommy John and Jim Kaat have as many wins as well and neither one of them will be in. They both have more 20 wins seasons and accomplishments as much if not more than Bert, but they'll never get in.

  11. Jim Rice; he wasn't particularly cooperative with the media, and its coming back to haunt him.

  12. Curt Schilling...The numbers aren't bad,but i doubt he'll make it.

  13. pete rose

  14. Hudeki Mastui probably won't, Since he gets injured so often his stats won't be enough for the hall

  15. Barry Bonds cause he loves needles.

  16. Dave Concepcion of the Cincinnati Reds! He was the best all around Shortstop in the game of baseball in the 1970's and still is not getting much consideration! He also perfected the one bounce throw on artificial turf which other players copied!

  17. Curt Shilling

He is a great player in the post season, is great clutch pitcher and won 2 world series with the Red Sox

He won't get in sadly because he dosn't have enough wins and has an ERA to high, and you don't get in because of the post season.

    Pete Rose

Because of the gambling and not showing remorse towards it when they found proof, he can't be in the hall of fame.

He is the all time hits leader, that alone can get you in the hall of fame

    Barry Bonds

He won't get in because he admitted to steroids and they found proof, and he might go to jail for lieing

He is the all time hr leader and has an obp of like .450 every year.

  18. Not in Any particular :

Lee smith , Andre Dawson , Jim Rice , Pete Rose(do hate me) , Mark Mcgwire, Ron Santo , Don Mattingly .

and that just to name a few that i can think of !

  19. Pete Rose (although, I think they'll let him in eventually, even if it's a long time from now and he's dead)

    Shoeless Joe Jackson.

As for players with 'legit' shots...Lee Smith and Andre Dawson are at the top of my list...Also Mark Grace. (I hate the Cubs...yet I can't disrespect those guys).  Also Edgar Martinez was one of the best right-handed hitters of the past generation.

  20. Joe Jackson with his career batting average of .356 is the best player who isn't and won't get into the Hall. With all due respect to the other plays mentioned, this one isn't even close in my mind. I would pick Rose second for being the all-time hit king. funny how these two are both out for essentially the same thing.

  21. Pete Rose.

And this is the correct state of affairs.

  22. Elroy Face, the greatest closer of the early 60's. If they had the save stat then, he would be in H.O.F.!!!!!!!!!!

  23. Craig Biggio
