Best pool table games?

Question

We have a pool table and we are sick of regular pool, 9 ball and 8 ball, cut throat and stuff. Is there any other cool games or more fun games that you can play instead that you know of or you enjoy? Funnest game gets best answer!

One of my fav games is LAST POCKET! IF your stripes were ever you make your last stripe is were have to make the 8 ball! The solids of course were ever tha lst sold goes in ! It makes play strategy, learn shape, and think about what your opponent is going to try to do!  If you like this game I have more like Missouri, its kind of like Last pocket but more complicated!

Bowlliards is a really fun pool game.  It's essentially pool played with bowling rules.  For every frame, you rack ten random balls in a triangle to represent the pins.  Then you break open the balls to scatter them (you have to spot anything that you pocket, so you don't really want to pocket anything).  Having scattered the balls, you now take ball in hand behind the head string and attempt to pocket all ten balls in any order without a miss.  Doing so is a strike.  Missing once is a spare.  Missing twice is like an open frame, just add up the balls.  You score it just like bowling.  M.D.-BCA Instructor/Referee.

P.S. By the way dan_dwise1, that's not what straight pool is.  What you're describing is "fifteen-ball".

Try Cribbage...

The object is to make sets of 15. If you break and the 6-ball drops, you then have to make the '9' for a total of 15.

You continue to shoot until you miss. Say you make the 2-ball, and miss the '13'... the '2' is spotted and next player's turn.

If two balls are made on the break, say, the '3' and the '10' balls, you must shoot either the '12' or the '5'. Say you make the '12' for one set... now you must shoot the '5' because the '10' is down.

After you make 4-sets of 15, you may or may not shoot the 15-ball. That's up to you. But the 15-ball gets spotted until one player has 4-sets... unless it is the last ball on the table.

Five sets of 15 win the game. If two players it can be a 4-4 tie. Three players the first one to four sets wins.

Cushion pool. Every time you pot a ball the white must hit a cushion first before the object ball. Have a few drinks and get hammered and now it'll be funny and take a while to play.

3/5 lives.

-miss a pot - lose a life

-call the black (and pot it) - gain a life

-call the black  (and miss it) - lose 2 lives

-whoever breaks cant lose a life whilst breaking, but if they pot the white, they lose a life.

on the last point, what we sometmes do is, give the breaker an extra life but unless he pots he loses a life. gives them the incentive to break them up and not just roll into them
