Lack of players in defence and flurry of players in the midfield are not the only two crises faced by Del Bosque, who will also have to work on the ‘perfect striker’.
All the five players in the midfield are brilliant passers of the ball and can create chances from almost nothing. Therefore, the Spanish striker who has to play alone up front will have to be someone who can finish off those chances.
David Silva, Andres Iniesta and Xavi Hernandez, three of those most talented midfielders in the world, are going to be behind that one striker playing in the Spanish national team.
Moreover, these three will be backed by http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Sergio-Busquets-c33048 and Xabi Alonso. While Busquets is not as creative as the other four, he still has the sense to move the ball around perfectly.
Currently, the Spanish national team is facing a problem in the final third. Since http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/David-Villa-c10629 is not going to play in the Euro 2012 since he has lost the race against time to be fit to play in the competition.
Therefore, it means that Del Bosque’s favourite striker is out of the equation and he will have to rely on players he has rarely tested in bigger competitions.
The first option for the Spanish national side is the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809 man as he is still on his way to gaining back full form.
He has shown glimpses of his old self recently and he was phenomenal throughout Chelsea’s UEFA Champions League campaign, as he was there when they won the tournament against Bayern Munich at Allianz Arena.
However, there is no doubt that when the whole team’s faith is on one particular person, a player such as Torres might fail to perform as he has still not gained full confidence.
Therefore, Del Bosque might not start the Champions League winner and might go for other players who have been performing relatively consistently.
The Bilbao star, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Fernando-Llorente-c13671, is one of the best options available for the Spanish national side. However, Llorente is a big figure and the way the Spanish national team operates, they need a player who is more mobile and can make the perfect off-the-ball-runs
in order to test the opposition’s defenders.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Álvaro-Negredo-c5294 is another good option when it comes to mobility and off-the-ball movement but the Spanish star has rarely featured this season and playing him at the top is going to be a gamble which the Spanish coach might not be willing to take.
Another option for http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Roberto-Soldado-c31367. Soldado has been phenomenal throughout the season. He has managed to score goals for Valencia and has helped them take the third position in the Spanish La Liga, helping
them qualify for the UEFA Champions League next season.
However, Soldado’s chemistry with the team is maybe not the best and his relations with Del Bosque are not the very best. Therefore, he might not even start for the Spanish national side.
All these players mentioned above has immense technique but there is something lagging in all of them and Del Bosque will definitely chose a player who can trouble the opposition.
Therefore, the best two options for Del Bosque are Fernando Torres and Fernando Llorente, as they have the ability to trouble the opposition defenders in their own way.
All in all, the best possible line-up for the Spanish national team can be:
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/David-Silva-c10601; Fernando Llorente.
