Best price plan for international calls?

im with vodafone

my bf lives in africa so whats the best way for me to make cheap international calls?

  1. Prepaid calling cards - they give you an 0800 or a landline number and then you call using that service... you're only charged the 0800 or standard landline tariff and the top up card gets used... you buy the specifically for the destination, there are hundreds to choose from...

    Local corner shops and places you get your oyster card topped up normally sell them.

    If not google them...


  2. Perhaps you might want to invest in either Skype phone or calling cards. I chat with friends in Ireland and this is the cheapest for us to talk. Both sides need a mic and speakers to use Skype. If that's not an option then i would use calling cards.

  3. Best way is to buy an international dialling card. I use "Cobra", costs £5 and i get about 150 minutes to my girlfriends mobile phone in Kenya. You only pay the cost of a local call, which on my mobile contract is free to 0121 numbers afetr 6pm.
