  1. I t looks like the printer you are looking for is the R225.

Do not go with the LightScribe idea. LightScribe laser-etches the photo and text onto a CD/DVD. They do not provide color, the CD/DVD's are very expensive and take a long time to laser-etch. I have LightScribe and hate it. I also have the RX595 (RX585 where you are) and love it. Not only can I print, but I can copy and scan. Any of the printers with a R (single printer) or RX (multi-function printer) provide CD/DVD printing.

  2. Lightscribe requires special DVDs and engraves the text or image on to the disc. With a printer you can print colored labels. I would recommend the Epson RX595 (though on your side of the pond it probably has a different model number). It's selling for about $80 in the States after rebate.

  3. what you can do is get a lightscribe burner to burn labels directly onto lightscribe discs. It's also the same thing for labelflash, except lightscribe discs don't work with labelflash, and vice versa.
