Best program out there .. and where can i get it?

Hey guys i was just wondering if any of you know what the best program ( or a really really good one) that could be used in making cristmas cards, not the fold out ones though .. the ones i want to make are called Slimline cards..

does anyone know?

Even if there is a program out there that does any thing like thank you cards or any cards.. just a really nice program?

And also where would i purchase it?
