Best punch recipe?

im in charge of making punch for a bridal shower. I want it like a slushi.

This is my favorite recipie:

2 1/2 cups white sugar

6 cups water

2 (3 once) packages strawberry flavored gelatin mix

1 (46 fluid ounces) can pineapple juice

2/3 cup lemon juice

1 quart orange juice

2 (2 liter) bottles of 7-Up

In a large saucepan, combine sugar, water, and strawberry gelatin. Boil for 3 min. Stir in pineapple juice, lemon juice and orange juice. Divide mixture in half, and freeze in 2 seperate containers.

When ready to serve, place the frozen contents of one container in a punch bow, and stir in 1 bottle of 7 - UP soda until slushy.

It's really good! Oh and it makes 2 punch bowls.
