Best recording quality for band?

so me and my band are trying to reocrd some songs. were using audacity with a really good amp and a fairly cheap microphone. what program or equipment is good. were kind of on a low budget too. thanks

Check a Guitar Center near you.

Korg, Roland and Tascam have very inexpensive digital recording gear.

You can pick up a cheap (cost) 16 track digital recording for well under 700 bucks.

I have a Korg D1600 and love it. Comes with effects processors in it, works on a touchscreen and is easy to navigate.

Check reviews on microphones and check ebay. A good microphone can make a world of difference.
