I'm just getting into reloading and it will be mostly handgun ammo for now. I plan to order the new speer manual and I figured it wouldn't hurt to have 2 or 3 laying around so what others would you guys recommend? lyman maybe?

  1. Lyman, definitely. It's been my go-to book since it was a tiny spiral-bound thing, and I have a shelf-full of others. I still haven't decided what the impact is of Hodgdon (1) gobbling up all those other companies and (2) putting their manual on-line, but you'll definitely want the Lyman. Also, the same folks have their specialized manuals, if you cast your own, for instance.

  2. While I too like the Lyman, I would never give up my Ken Waters "Pet Loads". I think his clear analysis and loading data on just about every round you would ever run across here in the states will greatly aid your abilities.
