Best resort in Dominican Republic?

Im looking to go away in September to the Dominican Republic and was wondering if anyone could suggest the best resort for ultimate chill-out, also if anyone has had any bad experiences out there that would be worth mentioning or resorts to stay away from?

I would check out one of the Riu Resorts in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. I stayed at the "Riu Palace Macao" (5 star) it was perfect. Go for a min of 2 weeks to get to see things out side the resort also. Go and have a great time.
