go to sambuccas on the fishquay at Tyneside- you may have to book- it is a genuine romantic Italian with singing waiters!

It is also across the road from the river so you can have a romantic stroll by the river before or after the meal- good luck- and enjoy the footie!

well depending on how formal you want you've got some good options... my faves are Nandos...good atmosphere, great food!!!! the black door is also a good one if you like french food!    or you could head into China town near the stadium for a good old chinese!!!! Its also worth just having a wonder round coz you will easily come across somewhere nice to take her as theres loads of places in the centre of town and Jesmond. Good Luck
