Best restaurants to celebrate wife's birthday in Central London?

Hello everyone,

I need your help with suggestions for a nice restaurant to celebrate my wife's birthday on a Friday... would be great if the restaurant could be in Central London (preferably zone 1 even zone 2). The size of the group would be around 15 people. Any suggestions on cuisines including italian, thai, chinese, spanish would be great.

The restaurant at the top of the Eiffel tower in Paris was very good. Is there something like this in London. In general the restaurants in London don't compare to those in Paris. We went to several small Italian restaurants.

That's a pretty big group. For a special occasion, try the floating chinese restaurant in Camden http://www.mycamden.co.uk/camden/restaur...

I'd also recommend Royal China which is large enough for big groups - it's a very posh chain.
