  1. I presume you are meaning York UK which I don't think the first person to answer picked up on.  I am from York and would recommend The Parsonage which is a country Hotel just outside York in a pplace called Escrick.  Or in the centre of the city there is Bettys which is an upmarket coffe/tea room during the day and at night lovely restaurant with person playing grand piano etc.

  2. TRY THIS PLACE:-

    1331 Gastrobar

    13 Grape Lane, York, YO1 7HU

    Tel: +44 (0)1904 661130

    International, Bar, Gastropub

    Opening Times:

    Tues - Thurs: 11:00 - 24:00

    Fri - Sat: 11:00 - 02:00

    Sun: 11:00 - 24:00

    Avg Price: £29.00

  3. Bless...Been there. Done it! Look on the bright side. You'll probably be divorced in about 10 years.

  4. If you're talking about New York , USA

I would tell you to try the "Dinosaur BBQ" it is a h****y Tonk

Blues Bar which can be found in 3 locations in New York.

    Rochester, Syracuse and NYC.

    Awesome BBQ, and Great Music.

  5. i have no idea sorry, but congrats on your first year of wedded bliss! hope you have many more. p.s i think the first guy has given an address for new york,so unless you want a really long trip for food,i would ignore it.I'm sure it is a nice restaurant but its possibly a bit far.

  6. Assuming you are of modest means, try this one:

    Sfoglia

    1402 Lexington Ave.; 212-831-1402

Sure it’s on a wretched, traffic-heavy corner on the upper reaches of Lexington Avenue. But the elegant Italianate cooking of Ron Suhanosky and his baker wife, Colleen, is more satisfying than what you find in larger Italian joints, and has more depth than the food in restaurants of a similar size. The artful blend of quality, inventiveness, and down-home, farm-fresh pulchritude is worth a special trip to this benighted part of town.

If you are stinking rich, however, you wouldn't have had to post this question in the first place.

  7. ill answer this. There are many. The down below in clifford street is very good, also the italian which is in the old girls school down petergate is fab. Deans court hotel has a good restaurant and Fellinis down Walmgate is ace but tends to get chiily due to its size and atmosphere. Cafe Du Barri down the shambles is excellent and so is Kings Ransome (indian) along the river by the kings arms. There is a fish / steakhouse along George Hudson st and next door to tthat a good Turkish Bar B Q restaurant. No 39 along the mount is one of my favourites as its in the Mount Hotel and is very very good but sometimes the service can be a little slow, they also do a good bottle of Chateux neuf du pape. There is a new fish restaurant in Walmgate which does the best mussles ever but its quite expensive although it is your anniversary and Meltons 2 also along same st is very good. But my favourite but very expensive restaurant has to be downstairs of the grange hotel along Bootham. It is pricey but worth every penny, service is very good and food choice is out of this world. You can dress up at any of these places. Have a great time and if you need any info on York Ill be happy to send you something in post if you can somehow contact me.
