  1. The best I have ever read is Gone With The Wind.  It may be long, but I was hooked after reading the first chapter.  I definitely recommend it.

  2. it has got to be pride and prejudice. no doubt about that. =)

mr. darcy is probably one of the most intriguing male character ever written and lizzy (elizabeth) is an epitome of an empowered woman. pride and prejudice withstood time since the 1880's. it's worth reading classics. haven't read a romance book that good. i was intrigued by the opening line "it is a truth universally acknowledged that a man of good fortune must be in want of a wife."

  3. Any of Jane Austin's novels and Anna Karenina

  4. Pride and Prejudice.

  5. the notebook and wuthering heights

  6. Try anything by Julie Garwood. Best romances EVER!

  7. THE TWILIGHT SAGA!!!!

  8. Pride & Prejudice, probably. Austen is great all around, but P&P (as cliche as it might be for me to say this) is still my favorite. No story has been remade and remade over and over again like Pride and Prejudice has and it's one story that actually deserves it. The prose is a little tough if you're not used to reading classic lit but honestly, it's completely worth it. The depth and uniqueness to the characters as well as the intriguing social commentary, the dialogue and wit... All of it is just perfect in my opinion. Both Mr. Darcy and Elizabeth are incredibly three-dimensional and honestly Elizabeth is one of the strongest, most empowered female literary heroines in all of literature.

"It is a truth universally acknowledged that a single man in possession of good fortune must be in want of a wife."

Best opening line ever. So funny.

  9. dont listen to what other ppl say about twilight, New Moon, Eclips, or Breaking dawn bcuz its an amazing series of books. they r mostly meant 4 girls so yeah..... if u want romance you'll be IN LOVE with this book..... just try it!!! And there is also a movie coming out on November 21st!!!!! And btw breaking dawn is my fav out of all of them!!!

  10. Pride & Prejudice!

My only conclusion is that the Twilight fans are giving thumbs down. Their is nothing romantic about phycological abuse by a holier than now, control freak daywalking vampire. Oh and meyers stories are poorly written, simplistic garbage.

  11. The Notebook!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  12. Another vote for Pride & Prejudice here. =)

  13. Pride and Prejudice or Gone with the Wind for me.

P&P because it's a beautifully written classic with a wonderful romance with a moral lesson on judgement.

Gone with the Wind because it's just plain awesome. It's about learning to love, losing love, recognizing true love, and kicking butt. Who wouldn't love a story like that?

  14. I vote for Jane Austen's novels, specifically Sense and Sensibility or Pride and Prejudice. I personally like Sense and Sensibility a little more than Pride and Prejudice, but I would definitely have to say that Pride and Prejudice is much more romantic than Sense and Sensibility.

  15. I must admit that I have failed to read any Jane Austen books (yet.) However, I know for a fact that it would be one of her books (and NOT Twilight, New Moon, Eclipse, or Breaking Dawn.)

  16. Twilight!!!
