Best route from valencia to barcelona ?

what is the best way to go to barcelona from valencia - car, train, bus or air? If we go by car, can you suggest the best route to take and places to stop by? Thanks . Prabha

I've driven from Valencia to Barcelona and I would have to say it is a beautiful drive. If you already have a car, drive to Barcelona. However, taking a train is faster, and flying even more quicker. The drive to Barcelona from Valencia is around 4-5 hours. If you do decide to drive, the best route is the toll-road AP-7. This toll-road runs along the whole Spanish eastern coast and is very scenic, plus, there is little traffic and you can almost drive at any speed you'd like.

Last year I take a Eurostar train from Barcelona to Valencia. The train was very fast and first class in comparison with other train in Europe. Is like a 2 1/2 hour beautiful scenic trip. Is a good option for people like me that don't like to drive in the vacations.
