Ok, so I'm new to this whole thing. I'm going to be a freshman in high school next year and my PE teacher told that if I trained this summer I could probably do track the next year. Anyway, I usually run in converse at school so I have no clue what kind of running shoes to get or if I need to get certain kinds to train and to compete so I need help!!

  1. i run long distance on my trak team also and the best shoes you can get r shocks. Nikes, Adidas, any of those athletic shoes. your dhoes do not have to be shocks but they r more comfortable

  2. Yes nike shox are the best

  3. NiiKES R THE WORST RUNNiiNG SHOE CREATED!!!!!!

    trust.

Asiics and Miizunos are THE BEST RUNNiiNG SHOE...

    trust.

  4. I run track and cross country for my highschool.

Their both really fun sports you'll like them a lot dont worry

but the first thing you need to do is to stop running in converse RIGHT AWAY. They will mess up your knees and your shins, and make it so that it either hurts when you run or so that you cant run at all. I've seen it happen to my team mates before, pretty much just middle schoolers that I helped during the season. but still. It gets bad

Asics and Brooks are the best running shoes for long distances and just for track training in general. they have the most cushion  of any shoe on the market. They dont cost THAT much either depending on what kind you get.

And your question about racing shoes, Yes you do want seperate shoes for when you are racing. You should always train in heavier shoes (whichh will be your trainers / Asics )

Then you have to get a pair of racers, they are basically just lighter shoes, because if you train in heavier shoes you will be faster in races.

If your doing long distances you should get a pair of waffle bottoms, and if you are doing sprints you will want a pair of spikes. Asics or brooks also make good racers as well :)

just keep running and getting into shape, try doing cross country. its a fall sport, its pretty much just track training :D

    GOODLUCKK
