Best settings for getting the best looking HD?

I have a PS3 with a HDMI cord, today I picked up madden 09 and everything didnt look as good as I imagined it would. I was wondering what the settings are for getting the best looking picture. I have a 47inch LCD Tv.

1080p would be the 'best settings.' make sure that you have color range set to full rgb, not limited

-If your HDTV supports 1080p then go to Display Settings>Video Output Settings>HDMI>Custom, select 720p and 1080p(leave 1080i unchecked)

-If your HDTV does not support 1080p then just select 720p(leave 1080i unchecked)

**720p and 1080p is the best for gaming, 1080i tends to be a little too slow for fast motion games like COD4

Once you set your resolution, go back to the Display Settings then scroll down to RGB Full Range(HDMI), switch that to Full. It will make the colors more crisp. After switching to Full, turn on the Super White option
