Best snowboard?

Anyone got any tips on what the best snowboard is for me. I'm 6'0" and a pretty decent level - can carve etc. Not a park rat but in time i wouldn't mind busting out a few moves. More into going fast and riding hard. I've been riding a Ride and found it pretty sweet

  1. The best type of board for you would be an all mountain board around an intermediate - advanced level. Some good boards you should check out are

    Ride Decade

    Burton Air

    Burton Custom

    Rome Solution

    K2 Illusion

    K2 Eldorado

    Salomon Tracker

    Good luck with the riding.

  2. The Burton Custom X is a great all around board.

  3. From personal experience, I would stay away from Salomon snowboards.  I loved the boards that I had, but the edges on both the two boards that I had kept splitting between the base and the top of the board.  Currently I am riding a Volkl Sting 161 and I'm about the same height as you.  I usually stay away from the park and end up in the trees, moguls and steeps and the board has been fast and responsive for the terrain.  It is more of an advance board so you have to have the basics down but if you do, it is a great board.  It is a more expensive board and usually harder to find.  Here in Colorado, I could only find 2 shops in the state that carried Volkl boards.  One last thing I might mention, Volkl has the record for the fastest snowboard and the same technology has been passed into this board.

  4. Do not buy a Burton!!!  If you want good quality in your board, I would suggest a Lib-Tech. or Gnu brand board.
