  1. You didn't mention a budget but I have a suggestion in the mid-range and lower budget range. Outdoors is not condusive to great sound quality so I wouldn't go with very expensive systems anyway.

    Boston Acoustics Voyager 7 are about $450/pair are nice sounding outdoor speakers. (the Voyager 4 are ok as well and are $180-200/pr but they are smaller and won't give you as much in the lower mid range)

    The Polk Atrium 45 are good and around $150/pr. Also smaller woofers but a great price if budget is important

    As for subs, I don't know of any powered outdoor subs. Klipsch makes a small 8" outdoor passive sub but I've never heard it.

    I also don't know of any home theater in a box type outdoor speaker systems so you would have to buy a fifth speaker for the center channel. In other words, if you bought the Voyager 7s, you'd need 5 of them (two fronts, 2 surrounds, and 1 center). You may be able to find a center channel made for outdoors but I haven't heard of one.
