  1. I was told Lone star is the best in Anderson.  The best I have been to in Indy was Ruth's Chris.  I'm sure there are many others.  I think a lot of it is the price and the atmosphere you are looking for.  It's fun to think about anyway.  Have fun.

  2. outback steakhouse

  3. Actually the best and most expensive is St. Elmo's downtown.  The next best is Sullivan's steakhouse on 82nd St. at clearwater at the crossing.  Then you have Eddie Merlot's off of 96th St. then you have Logan's Roadhouse and Texas Roadhouse.  At least those are my favorites in that order.    But a good steak for the price, you can't go wrong with Texas Roadhouse or Applebees.

There's a new restaurant near Castleton called Z's Oyster bar...they have a filet that costs $41.00

These are all in indianapolis by the way.

  4. If you are looking for a steakhouse that is cheap and simple, go for Texas Roadhouse, Longhorn, or Logan's.

Places like Ruth's Chris can get over $100 for a single meal.

  5. texas roadhouse is awesome!

  6. Richie's near the airport is to die for

  7. First off - it's steak not stake!  But, if it is stake, Lowe's or Home Depot has some great stakes!

I would suggest that The Beef House in Covington is the best steakhouse in Indiana - delicious food, awesome atmosphere, great prices and terrific rolls!  But, there are lots of great ones around - Stables in Terre Haute, Ruth's Chris in Indianapolis, etc.

Texas Roadhouse is nothing but a cheaper steakhouse.  They aren't bad, but if you want a real steak go to the places above.  Longhorn is about the same as Texas Roadhouse, but slightly better.

  8. Shula's Steakhouse in the Westin Hotel in Indy is definitely the best.  It is a nice, quiet restaurant with a friendly and very attentive staff.  It is pricey, but well worth it.

While it isn't a steakhouse per se, Tippecanoe Place in South Bend has some really great steaks and nobody does prime rib nearly as well as them.  The restaurant is in the old Studebaker Mansion, which is gorgeous (and rumored to be haunted!  Very nifty place to explore, and as far as I've encountered the ghosts aren't malicious ones).
