  1. I'm not quite as tall as you but a little heavier. I chose a Honda Shadow Aero 750. I have been very pleased. It isn't too small nor is it too large. It handles well, is comfortable, and has enough  power. If  you can it would be a good idea to try out several before purchasing one. One thing I strongly suggest you stay away from are the cheap imports that you've never heard of. The price is tempting but the quality is subpar and getting the warranty honored or obtaining parts can be a nightmare. Also the resale value stinks. If you stay with Honda, Kawasaki, Yamaha, Suzuki, Harley Davidson, BMW, and Triumph I don't think you can go wrong. The Japanese are the least expensive of the ones I recommended in general. In addition if it's in the budget I highly recommend a Honda VTX 1300 if you want something a little larger.

  2. An Honda CG 125. They go on for ever & whole families travel around on them in most of Asia along with the Honda C90. I'm 6' 2" & I like to drive mine about round London delivering parcels. Millions of 'em were produced so you'll never run out of dirt cheap spares. 200 quid gets you a decent runner with a couple of months ticket. You'll be bored of it long before it ever breaks down or runs out of petrol. Get a Japanese one (12 volt, electric start, CDI models are the best) & just keep the oil topped up & it'll get you from a to b, albeit slowly, for ever.
