  1. Boa is delicious!!  I went to the one in Vegas and I loved it.  The steak was great, as well as the sides and drinks!  They have a drink that has balsamic vinegar, strawberries, vodka and pepper in it.  It is amaaazing.

Flemings is also incredibly delicious!  Great steak and awesome sides.  Slightly cheaper than Boa and Mortons.

Mortons is good, but overrated because it's Mortons.  You won't be disappointed though.  They bring the steak out before it's cooked to show you.

    Enjoy!!

  2. Ruth Chris BY FAR

  3. Filet Mignon was very delicious cooked in butter.

    Wish you a great B-day.

    Have fun..

  4. I kind of like to stick with the old tried and true......The Palm on Santa Monica.  It's been around forever!  Happy Birthday!!

  5. MY FIRST CHOICE:

ARROYO CHOPHOUSE in Pasadena is EXCELLENT

(Personally, I think Mortons, like Ruths Chris is over rated and okay).

CUT at the Beverly Wilshire is also very good, so is

    JAR Restaurant (address below)

I have to second LAWRY'S PRIME RIB if you're looking for a prime rib place. However, for steak, consider Lawry's sister restaurant  (along with other varieties on their menu) Consistently very good, been there a very long time:

    TAM O SHANTER

    (323) 664-0228    www.lawrysonline.com

2980 Los Feliz Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90039

    Also consider these locations:

    TAYLOR'S STEAKHOUSE

    901 Foothill Blvd.,

    La Canada, CA 91011

    (818) 790-7668

(Been to this location, very very good! Also been there a very long time)

    and their other location:

    3361 W 8th St,

    Los Angeles

    (213) 382-8449

    JAR RESTAURANT

(Trendy w/good write ups.  Tried the rib eye, it was very good, their pot roast is a signature dish, also very very good too)

    www.thejar.com

    (323)655-6566

8225 Beverly Blvd, Los Angeles, CA

    (Worth noting for future occasions)

    For really casual places, consider:

(It's a landmark location that's been there forever [like the 1940's]):

    THE ORIGINAL PANTRY

    (213) 972-9279

877 S Figueroa St, Los Angeles, CA

(Not the finest cuts of meats, but very hearty!)

    the other is:

    PINNACLE PETES in San Dimas

(Fun, casual, cheap eats of a steakhouse[not the best cuts of meat...just cheap]!....and don't wear a tie, they'll cut it off)

I can't offer opinions on the others that you've listed, as I haven't had an opportunity to try them.  Thx. for your list, I'll try a couple of them out whenever I'm in these areas.

  6. Ruth Chris followed closely by Mortons and Steakhouse 55 in the Disneyland Hotel.

Prime Rib - Lawry's The Prime Rib

  7. ive heard the cut and boa are really good

however my all time favorite steak house is Ruth Chris and they have one in beverly hills

so my vote goes for Ruth Chris
