Best swims of the 2011 Australia State Teams Age Group SC Championships, Canberra
The 2011 Australia State Teams Age Group SC Championships took place in Canberra, Australia, from September 17-19, where the session of the meet conducted several intriguing and versatile swims.
Adelaide Hart of Western Australia secured the gold medal in the Women’s 100m back-stroke meet, while Nic Groenewald of Victoria earned golden crown in the Men’s 200m back-stroke final heat. Jacob Hansford of New South Wales won the gold medal in the Men’s
200m butterfly, whereas, Jessica Hansen of Victoria captured the gold medal in the Women’s 100m breast-stroke race.
In the beginning, WA’s Adelaide Hart took home the Women’s 100m back-stroke crown with a winning mark of 1 minute and 00.99 seconds. Meanwhile, Hayley Baker of VIC grabbed silver title in a time of 1 minute and 01.76 seconds and Rebecca Booth of NSW settled
for bronze with a mark of 1 minute and 01.90 seconds.
Morgan Timms of QLD wound up fourth in the respective meet with a time of 1 minute and 01.92 seconds, whereas, Leah Neale of QLD settled fifth with a mark of 1 minute and 02.30 seconds.
Afterwards, Nic Groenewald of Victoria clinched the Men’s 200m back-stroke title with a winning time of 2 minutes and 01.85 seconds. Edward Marks of NSW earned silver medal in a time of 2 minutes and 07.65 seconds, while Mitchell Adams of QLD snared bronze
in a time of 2 minutes and 07.80 seconds.
Douglas Oliver of QLD wound up fourth with a mark of 2 minutes and 08.18 seconds, whereas, Thomas Curran of TAS rounded out the top five in a time of 2 minutes and 09.22 seconds.
Meanwhile, Jacob Hansford of New South Wales earned the gold medal in the Men’s 200m butterfly final race with a triumphant time of 2 minutes and 04.06 seconds. In the corresponding swim, Andrew Walker of WA finished second with a stunning mark of 2 minutes
and 05.35 seconds and Ho Ka Kwong of QLD earned third place honours with a striking mark of 2 minutes and 06.53 seconds.
Hami Mcdougall of VIC settled fourth with a time of 2 minutes and 06.79 seconds, whereas, Damian Fyfe of WA rounded out the top five in a time of 2 minutes and 08.01 seconds. Ryan Leonard of NSW was placed sixth with a time of 2 minutes and 09.23 seconds,
while Josh Mcdermott of TAS earned seventh place honours with a mark of 2 minutes and 11.79 seconds. Max Muggeridge of QLD settled eighth with a mark of 2 minutes and 12.41 seconds.
Last, but not the least, Jessica Hansen of Victoria secured gold medal in the Women’s 100m breast-stroke with a victorious mark of 1 minute and 07.83 seconds. Taylor Mckeown of QLD finished second in 1 minute and 09.96 seconds, while Hanna Beighton of QLD
rounded out the top three in a time of 1 minute and 09.99 seconds
Lily Collins of VIC wound up fourth with a mark of 1 minute and 10.34 seconds, whereas, Emma Newell of TAS settled fifth in the respective meet with a time of 1 minute and 10.40 seconds.
The arena applauded for the extraordinary swims of all athletes, while the winners were awarded accolades after the session’s completion.
